Art Education Equipment
We have a passion for the arts and have seen the deeply transformative ways that God can meet the human heart, mind, and body through the creative process. We believe that everyone has the ability to be creative because we’re made in the image of a creative God.
Creative rhythms are an integral part of our discipleship schools because we have found that they reveal what we believe to be true about God, ourselves, life, and others. We teach weekly art classes during our Phase I and Phase II schools as a way for students to find their creative voice and meet God in every part of the process. Our staff also teach creative collectives to our students: darkroom photography, pottery, music, relief printing, and movement.
We teach many of these creative rhythms in our adult retreats and high school camps. Our staff practice stewarding their creative crafts year-round so we can teach with authority in our discipleship programs. We also host outreach and paid classes for children in our local community.
We are looking to raise $15,000 to go towards our Art Education programs and creative classes that we offer here at A Place for the Heart. These funds will go toward much needed equipment for our studios: printing press, darkroom supplies, art tables, and more.
